In Spain you need a NIE number for almost everything. From buying a house, to opening a Spanish bank account. But also to work, to order something from a webshop or apply for a telephone subscription.

Once we have received all the required information/documents from you, it will take an average of 1 to 3 weeks for you to get your appointment and receive you NIE number. This depends in part on the appointments availability on the Extranjeria office.

If you choose "NIE Remote (by Spanish Consulate)", you don't have to be at the appointment yourself (and therefore not in Spain either). If you choose NIE ate ease (by Spanish Notary) You only need to be in Spain to sign the Power of Attorney. You don't have to be at the NIE appointment yourself (and therefore not in Spain either). If you choose "NIE to go!" you must be in Spain for the NIE appointment.

If you need an urgent appointment, or an appointment on a specific date, and extra charge of €70 applies. In this way, you will be prioritized in our appointments booking list.

You will receive a scan of the document with your NIE number and a "CSV" code. By entering this code on the official website of the Spanish police, you will download the original document with your NIE number on it. Thus, this operation automatically authenticates the authenticity of the document.
